Recipe for Success

by Drew Stevens, Ph.D.

Two years ago for a Fathers Day present my family gave me a wonderful present – gourmet-cooking lessons. I learned a great deal about knife skills, temperature, meats, stocks etc.

Recipe for SuccessHowever, the greatest lesson about building a recipe is using a foundation and then continues based on your desire for taste and texture. This will require multiple taste tests until you get it right. Just like a recipe, life is not perfect.

There will be times when you will attempt certain things and they do not go according to plan. You need to try new things and change course so that you gain a better outcome. As long as you have foundation you will be fine.

Stop trying to live life as a perfect recipe. You need to continue to mix and match ingredients as well as try new things to develop the proper end product.
