For this job, the client needs someone almost like a program manager who has worked on transformation projects. Need very strong C-level communication abilities. Any experience related to HR IT and/or HR ASP apps is a big plus. They will working on the program to consolidate a lot of the HR related ASP applications and providers. The IT simplification initiative is es designed to reduce the overlap and redundancy of applications and ASP’s. This particular part of the effort is around the HR systems at SunTrust.
Job Title: Project – PPG IT Simplification ASP
Location: Atlanta, GA
Length: 6 months contract
Need a strong Project contractor in support the Playbook for Profitable Growth (PPG) initiative with a focus on driving cost savings throughout the bank. These contractors are part of the IT Simplification team whose current focus is on rationalizing the software allocation across the bank starting with simplification of ASP providers.
This rationalization effort is initially taking place in the Administration / HR / Training area and the Market Data area (CIB and WIM)
Responsibilities of the PM contractor include leading a person team ( BA and 2 Functional Analysts) driving team to task completion, presentations and interactions with management and C-Level executives and leading transformation process around ASP software allocation.
* Strong Project management experience working on transformation based projects
* Experience leading projects involving HR software package implementations. Experience with in the HR ASP space a plus
* Experience interfacing with Architect in the transformation effort
* Excellent communication skills to include communication with all levels of the organization including presentations to C-Level executives
Bachelors Degree is preferred for this role, however candidates with the correct experience will be considered.
Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years progressive work related experience with demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines/processes related to the position. This position is responsible for managing multiple large or complex projects in accordance to the project approach, structure, and charter in order to support the successful implementation of new applications and systems based on business and customer objectives. Typically leads/mentors less experienced staff on complex projects in area of expertise. Ensures adherence to project management methodology and standards are in order to meet client business expectations. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Exercises a leadership role, ensuring the completion of projects within defined time-lines, budget controls and quality standards. Develops planning and implementation methodologies, working with project team, external consultants, and vendors as necessary. Develops and manages the projects tasks and dependencies to ensure that development activities are consistent with established I.. standards as well as those business objectives. Prepares management reports summarizing resource utilization as well as how project plans are performing against critical schedules and budgets. Assembles a project team, identifies appropriate resources needed and develops a schedule to ensure timely completion of project. Leads/mentors less experienced staff on complex projects in area of expertise. Complete appropriate forms/discussions addressing performance and development goals for all employees assigned to each project to give effective, meaningful feedback. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrated project management experience in the direction of multiple large or complex projects from beginning through execution. Demonstrated proficiency managing projects that typically have enterprise-wide implications as well as a highly technical complexity. Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing and explaining project information and status to management, staff, and vendors
