How to register your PDUs from PDUs2Go.com with PMI

The Project Management Institute (PMI) has recently made some changes to the PDU registration system and this guide is intended to help you with the registration process so that you can get credit for your PDUs quickly and easily.

The new web site address for registering your PDUs with PMI is https://www.pmi.org/ccrs/.  This is the “Continuing Certification Requirements System” page and in the upper right corner of this page you will see a link that is labeled “Log In.”  Click on this link and then enter your PMI Username and Password then click the “Log In” link next to the lock icon.

Once you have logged in, look for the green button in the left column labeled “Report professional development units (PDUs)” (Fig. 1) and click it.  This will open Step 1 of the registration process.

  1. For “PDU Category” select  “Cat 3: Registered Education Provider program/PMI Component Event.” (Fig. 2)
  2. For “Activity type” select “Find an Activity (Course or Event).”  Then click the green “Next” button at the bottom of the page. (Fig. 2)

  4. In Step 2 you will be asked for several pieces of information.  In your Course Guide you will find a number labeled “Program ID” that will be in the format: 1637-xxxxxxx.  The digits before the hyphen are the “Provider number” asked for in Step 2.  This will always be 1637, which is PDUs2Go/Optimo’s R.E.P. number.   5. Leave the next field “Provider name” blank. (Fig. 3)
  6. Use the numbers after the hyphen in the “Program ID” number above to fill in the “Activity number” field. (Fig. 3)
  7. Leave the last field “Activity name” blank and click the “Search” button. (Fig. 3)

  9. The next screen will show the results of your search.  Click on the blue Activity number in the left column to go to the next page. (Fig. 4)

  11. On the next page, enter the date you started the course. (Fig. 5)
  12. Then enter the date you completed the course. (Fig. 5)
  13. Check the radio button which indicates how “This activity met all stated objectives.” (Fig. 5)
  14. Check the radio button which indicates your “Satisfaction with this provider.” Then click the “Next” button. (Fig. 5)

  16. Now confirm the number of PDUs for this course and click the “Next” button. (Fig. 6)

  17. The last step is to check the box next to “I agree this claim is accurate.” and then click the “Submit” button. (Fig.7)
